Support the Annual Awards for Outstanding Guardsmen

The 193rd Special Operations Wing Association to advise you of an exciting opportunity to support a few of Pennsylvania’s finest Air National Guard members.

Annually the 193rd Special Operations Wing selects Outstanding Ready Guardsmen of the Year in the Category of Honor Guard Member, Company Grade Officer, First Sergeant, Airman, Non-Commissioned Officer and Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. In addition to appropriate recognition by the Wing, our Board presents packages to each Outstanding Ready Guardsman. These packages contain gifts from local businesses in recognition of their service.

These members are nominated on the basis of Leadership and Job Performance in their Primary Duty (must significantly contribute to increased mission effectiveness), Significant Self-Improvement Efforts (may show improvement through off-duty education, achievements in professional or cultural associations, or development of creative abilities), and Wing or Community Involvement (must contribute tangibly or intangibly to the military or civilian community’s welfare, morale, or status). Although the nomination package spans the calendar year, nominees represent the Wing, Pennsylvania and ultimately the United States Air Force, so they must stand the test of a “whole life/whole career” scrutiny. As you can see, our winners contribute tangibly to our nation and their local community.

This is an offer to contribute to the recognition packages that our Board will present in honor of the 193rd‘s Outstanding Ready Guard members for 2009. In past years local businesses have donated gift certificates, weekend getaway packages, and other prizes for our award winners. Your business will be recognized in our Association newsletter.
