Wednesday, February 5th, Governor Tom Corbett signed a disaster emergency proclamation to assist state and local authorities in responding to an ice and snow storm that has damaged infrastructure, slowed travel across much of the state and caused widespread power outages. The proclamation authorizes state agencies to use all available resources and personnel, as necessary, to cope with the magnitude and severity of this emergency situation. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

Due to the current adverse weather conditions there will be a two hour delay for the start of the work day this morning. Liberal leave is authorized for today which means that employees may be absent from duty without prior supervisory approval but will be charged their personal leave as appropriate.

Employees are reminded they are responsible for informing their supervisor if you plan on using the liberal leave option.

7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE MILITARY FAMILIES – Up to 50 Pa. military service members and their dependents (6 yrs. and older) are invited to attend a FREE workshop that will teach military families how to deal with relocation and deployment; create goals and solve problems; resolve relationship differences;
