Augustus H. Beck, Jr., 90, of Powell, TN and formerly of Hershey, passed away on January 19, 2020 at home with family. He was born April 10, 1929 in Cleona, a son of the late Augustus H. Beck, Sr. and Joycie R. (Wilt) Beck.
Augustus was a 1947 graduate of Hershey High School and was an Air Force Veteran with 30 years of service, much of it with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard 193rd. He also worked for many years in Civil Service, and retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot.
Surviving are his children, daughters Michelle B. Blakley of Knoxville, TN, Marcia L. Slade (Michael) of Lebanon and Melodi L. Goff (David) of Powell, TN and son, Mark L. Beck of Dubois; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and older brother, Edwin H. Beck of Colorado Springs, CO.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Clemens Beck and his sister, Amanda Snyder.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Noon in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hershey. Visitation will begin at 11:00am. Interment with honors will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
