Michelle Maier is ill

I Just had a call from Michelle Maier tonight and she informed me she has breast cancer. She seemed OK but definitely sounded rattled.

She has set up a Care Page to keep everyone informed. I am going to stop down at base tomorrow afternoon and send out a help desk message to the masses.

Can you get the info to the association as well?

Here is her care page site: http://www.carepages.com/carepages/MMaier
You will need to sign up for the site to see her page.

The info she gave me:
-Has breast cancer
-will have major surgery on Wed 23 March and 4-6 week recovery
-after that 16 weeks chemo

FYI – Hi everyone – Bob fell in he bathroom on Sunday and we had him ambulanced to the hospital and We were in the ER all day Sunday. He had to be admitted but there were no beds available right away. After all the tests and xrays, the cancer has spread to his bones and there is also involvement on the liver. He will have a vertebroplasty procedure Thurs. a.m. to cement the fragments of his spine that have fractured to stop the pain and the after that, more RT to the spine to stop the cancer cells that are there.

His calcium as too low and this was causing him to be unfocused. He is in better spirits and looks a lot better now. lease give him a call or stop by to see him if you can.
